The festival is held at the historic Highland Springs Ranch & Inn (est. 1884). 123 Farm is the name of the ranch's organic farm.

FERMENTED MARKETPLACE

Visit the Organic Marketplace for a range of fermented foods such as pickles, kimchi, sauerkraut, kombucha and tools to make your own fermented food at home.

CULTURED FOOD WORKSHOPS

Join us for some hands-on workshops. Learn how to make shrubs and kombucha, or join us for a kimchi class and more!

Sample fermented brews such as mead, kombucha, cider and more. Located indoors in the main lobby.

WORKSHOPS

KIMCHI

11 AM, 12:30 PM, 2 PM, 3:30 PM  |  $15

Join us for a hands-on workshop on how to make your own kimchi and learn about the health benefits. Participants will also take home a small jar of kimchi. Class lasts between 45-60 minutes. Limited to 16 participants per class.

FERMENTED VEGETABLES

In this workshop, you will learn how simple it is to ferment your own vegetables at home, how to apply them in your meals and the health benefits. Class lasts between 30-45 minutes. Limited to 16 participants per class.

SHRUBS

Shrubs are fermented beverages that are both refreshing and healthy. In this workshop, you will learn how to make old-fashioned shrubs at home using fruit and herbs and the health benefits of incorporating shrubs in your life. Participants will sample various shrubs and take home a small jar of shrub. Class lasts between 30-45 minutes.

KOMBUCHA

A hands-on workshop on how to make kombucha at home, the health benefits and caring for your SCOBY.  Class lasts between 30-45 minutes including time for questions and answers. Limited to 16 participants per class.

BREAD TALK

SEE THE DIFFERENT STAGES OF MAKING  SOURDOUGH FROM NATURAL LEAVENS

 

Come to the Fermentation Marketplace located in the Main Lobby to feel and smell the different steps of making sourdough the old-fashioned way. Sample our bread made with three simple ingredients (organic flour, water and salt).

Join us for free lectures on a variety of fermented topics such as gut health, raw milk, and cultured foods. Located inside the Main Lobby (room C and D).

TWELVE BOUTIQUE SHOPS THEMED AFTER A PRODUCT FROM OUR FARM. SAMPLES INFUSED HONEYS AND OLIVE OIL FROM OUR GROVES. 123 FARM CAFE HAS HOT COFFEE, TEAS AND SWEETS MADE WITH SOURDOUGH BREAD.
